Dear Whinechick… best wine glass to use?

Dear Whinechick,

With so many wine glasses out there of all shapes and sizes, how do I know which is the right one for me?  I tend to drink Pinot Grigios and White Zinfandels.

Well, I feel your pain in two ways.  First, about all the confusion in wine glasses and their different shapes and secondly that all you drink is Pinot Grigio and White Zinfandel.  Really?  That’s all you drink?

With all the wine we consume at our house, we often find ourselves running out of clean glasses.  Oh sure, we have all the fancy Riedel crystal stemware (we prefer the Ouverture Magnums), and I even have one with all the handpainting on it that say’s “Mommy’s Sippy Cup”.  That’s a classy one to pull out when you have your kids teacher over to the house to discuss why your son is always saying “My mommy’s a wino!” in school.   But when I’m in a pinch, I’ve found that travel coffee mugs work well (especially when you have to go to the little league field and watch your kid sit the bench for 2 hours), and even the sippy cup from the kids cutlery drawer.  Hey, no one likes red wine on the carpet.

If you had to pick one glass though to keep around as your all-purpose wine glass, pick one that makes you happy when you drink your wine.  Whether it has handpainted flowers on it, a wineries name or its blinged out with rhinestones, make it fun and about you!

I just discovered your blog – you are now my new favorite writer! (Seriously, have you written a book yet?) I am sure I have met you somewhere along the way in the store, but now that I know your hidden talents, I’ll have to thank you in person for some hearty chuckles. Keep up the hilarious opins! – (Still laughing…) Heather
